TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

TabTrade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should make the platform set when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The speed is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
